Cortal Consors takes over the clients of Mega Invest Management

Cortal Consors Belgium, a company of BNP Paribas, is in the process of taking over part of the client base that formerly belonged to the stockbroking company Mega Invest Management SA.
It concerns about 1 600 customers and managed assets totalling EUR 70 million.

Those customers will become clients of Cortal Consors who will manage their stock market operations. Cortal Consors will provide them with its vast expertise and know how in stock market investments.

In the new set-up, the clients will have online access to the world’s major stock exchanges over the Net or over the phone. Orders are treated in real time. A fundamental analysis module and several simulation tools will allow clients to manage their portfolio with the same IT tools as professional investors use.

They will also, via their customer account, have ready access to a wide range of investment products, such as, all Belgian-listed collective investment funds, a savings account as well as the more traditional banking products.

The customer accounts will be taken over automatically by Cortal Consors at the end of March 2005, subject to the consent of the regulatory body, the Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission.
