Helping everyone to make the right choices

BNP Paribas Fortis organises each year hundreds of information sessions for everyone, both individual consumers and entrepreneurs,  both clients and non-clients.  Young people and their parents are not forgotten either.

For households, young people, the self-employed and business owners, it is no easy to choose the type of loan or select the savings or investment vehicle that best meets their needs.  This is all the more true  if they do not have an adequate knowledge of financial matters. Moreover, some financial products become increasingly sophisticated.  Last but not least, regulations are constantly changing – even experts in any field require constant retraining to keep abreast of the fast rate of changes.

BNP Paribas Fortis’ commercial advisors and relationship managers provide clients and prospects with clear, objective and unbiased information on a daily basis.  The customer can also obtain advice on the phone from our contact centre staff and carry out basic transactions through this channel. Everyone can also consult extensive information sections on various websites, including www.bnpparibasfortis.be.

But as on other domestic markets, BNP Paribas in Belgium goes much further by organising information sessions designed to help individual customers and business owners make better financial decisions.

‘Money Matters Made Simple’ – In 2014, BNP Paribas Fortis once again held over 300 banking and financial interactive information sessions at the branches for both individuals and entrepreneurs. Retail banking staff de-mystifies financial topics and ‘translate’ bankers’ and insurers’ jargon into a language that everyone can understand.

Among the themes covered are Rent or buy? Marriage or co-habitation? Smartphone and tablet: getting the best out of them also for financial purposes, Applying for a loan as a self-employed person and Understanding your investment portfolio better. These sessions are purely informative and have no commercial intent.  They are free-of-charge and open to everyone, both clients and non-clients. Watch the videos below.

Real Connect for Business – BNP Paribas Fortis offers sessions for entrepreneurs – self-employed people, members of the liberal professions and business leaders – consisting of presentations which are mostly followed by workshops. Among the topics discussed are fiscal, social security systems and environmental regulations.

Each subject matter is presented by experts in the particular field. Under the generic designation of Real Connect for Business, these initiatives underline BNP Paribas Fortis’ ambition to be the ‘entrepreneurs’ bank’ par excellence.
